Research and Expertise:
Field of interest: Signaling of unicellular Tetrahymena pyriformis; the inositol phospholipid and sphyngolipid signalization systems of Tetrahymena. Connection between the signaling and the cytoskeleton (actin and microtubular) of Tetrahymena. Demonstration of enzymes (phospholipase, C, A2, D, sphyngomyelinase) functioning in the signal transduction. Demonstration the effect of microtubulus-drugs (colchicine, nocodazole, vinblastine, taxol etc.) on the different microtubular systems (transversale-, longitudinale microtubuli, basal bodies, deep fibers, etc.) of Tetrahymena by immunocytochemical methods. Analysis of the effects of tubulin-acetylation on the cytoskeleton and signaling of Tetrahymena.
